Why AWANA?

Evangelism is no accident.
From the first club night,
AWANA is designed to expose children
to the gospel of grace.

A child might hear clearly about Christ from family or a friend.
Or he might not.

AWANA is a deliberate evangelism tool.
Kids are exposed to the gospel through the materials, by dedicated leaders, and most importantly,
through the memorization of Scripture
.

  • AWANA is fun!  Game time, outings, contests and other events will provide a variety of fun activities!
  • AWANA offers a sense of belonging, something many kids are missing.

  • AWANA encourages and motivates clubbers to bring friends.

  • AWANA teaches children the Word of God through Bible memorization, Bible-based achievements, and a consistent presentation of the gospel message.

  • AWANA clubbers are assigned leaders who work with them personally, teaching them how Christianity works on a personal, practical level.

  • AWANA materials and leader direction help clubbers grow in Christ and develop gifts for future service to the Lord.

    AND

  • AWANA leaders increase their knowledge of Scripture and deepen their relationship with Christ as they guide clubbers in their study of God's Word.

  • AWANA leaders enjoy the encouragement and fellowship of those with whom they serve.

AWANA CLUB ACTIVITIES
Club time is divided into 3 segments.
Each has its own purpose, but all of them are fun!

Game Time  Age-appropriate individual and team competition takes place on the AWANA circles in the auditorium.  Every kid gets involved and has a chance to unleash his or her energy!

Handbook Time  AWANA emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses to show how to know God and walk with Him.  Kids work one on one with leaders, and a series of awards and trophies reward achievements at every level as kids progress!

Story Time or Council Time  Everyone gathers together for a practical Bible message.  This time may also include singing, announcements, and/or award time.
